How do I open an account? (step by step instruction)

To create a trading account, click the 'Open Account' button on the R1Investing homepage. Complete the following steps:

Step 1 – Create an account

First, you need to fill in the following information:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Mobile phone number
  • Email address
  • Password

At this stage, you will be required to acknowledge and accept our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Risk Disclosure.

Step 2 – Provide personal information

Next, enter your details as follows:

  • Address
  • City
  • Zip code
  • Date of birth

Once you're done, you will need to fill in a questionnaire to help us understand if your background and level of experience are compatible with our services. All personal data will be kept secure and will not be shared with any 3rd party.

Step 3 – Submit verification documents

The final step is to verify your account. This is done by submitting the following documents:

  • Proof of identity
  • Proof of residence

As soon as your account is verified, you will be able to place a deposit via credit card. e-wallet, or bank transfer.

How long does it take to open an account?

The registration process will take no longer than a couple of minutes. As soon as you have provided all the required information and documents, it should take no longer than two business days to verify your account.

What account types are available at R1Investing?

We offer three account tiers, Silver, Gold and Platinum, each one with its own features and trading conditions that best suit the account holder:

Do I need prior trading experience to open an account?

Although trading experience is not mandatory, it might be better to have some. CFD trading comes with significant risks. It is a complex financial instrument that might not be suitable for everyone and can result in loss of the invested capital. We advise you not to invest more than you can afford to lose and to consider both your financial capabilities and trading experience before trading.

How many accounts can I create?

You can only create one Live account.

What is a Live account?

A Live account is where you trade CFDs on actual assets with your actual capital. In other words, it is the real-time environment where you invest your money.

What is a practice account?

Our registered traders are eligible for a 7-day practice account with $100k of virtual money. This gives them a simulated environment that functions just like a Live one, except it comes with no risk of losing real money. It will allow you to get acquainted with the platform and train your skills. If you're a first-time trader, we advise you to start with a practice account.

Do I risk any money on a practice account?

No. You use virtual money when trading with the practice account.

How long can I use the practice account?

The practice account is available for seven days. If you feel like you need more time to practice your skills, your account manager will gladly renew your practice.

How do I switch between Real and practice accounts?

Once you are in the “Client area”, you will be able to see both accounts with respective labels. To choose one, click the "Launch" button next to the desired account. Please note that their visibility is similar, so make sure you are using the right account.

Account Verification

Why do I need to go through a verification process?

The verification process allows us to prevent fraudulent and malicious activities in order to protect our traders. Your data remains secure and confidential and is only used for the purposes defined by the financial regulator.

Which documents can I provide to verify my account?

One of the following documents is required:

  • Copy of a valid International Passport,
  • National ID card
  • Driver's license.

We will also require a Proof of Residence (it can be a utility bill or a bank statement in your name that was issued within the past six months and features your address.)

How do I upload my documents?

You can upload your documents during the registration process. If you prefer to submit them at a later time, you can do it on the website. Simply click on your profile name and choose "Client area". Go to the "Documents" tab and follow the instructions. Otherwise, you can also send them to us via [email protected] .

Why was my document rejected?

If your document is in a low-quality, cut, invalid, or expired, we cannot accept it. Note that you will receive an email regarding the status of each document. In case you encounter any other issues during the uploading process, kindly let us know at [email protected].

How will I know that my account has been verified?

Once your account is verified, an e-mail will be sent to your provided e-mail address.

Deposit

What currencies can I use for my deposit?

You can deposit EUR, USD, and GBP.

Is there a minimum/maximum deposit amount?

There is a minimum amount of 215 USD/GBP/EUR.

Currently, there is no maximum amount for a deposit.

What methods can I use to make a deposit?

We offer the following secure payment methods for your convenience:

  • Credit or debit card;
  • Bank transfer;
  • E-wallet;

How do I make a deposit?

Login at ROInvest.com. On the homepage, click the "Deposit" button.. On the newly opened page, choose a preferred deposit method, fill in your details, and click the "Deposit now" button.

Why is my deposit payment pending?

If your account is not yet verified, the deposit might remain pending. Kindly let us know at [email protected] if your account is verified, yet the problem persists.

Why was my deposit be rejected?

Most rejections stem from restrictions on your credit or debit card. To solve the issue, please contact your issuing bank.

When will my deposit be processed?

For deposits via credit or debit card – within seconds.

For deposits via e-wallets - no longer than 24 hours

For bank transfers – up to 5 business days

What are SWIFT and IBAN?

Swift and IBAN are both methods to identify your international bank account, required to make a transfer. Both numbers can be obtained by contacting your issuing bank.

A SWIFT code consists of 8-11 characters. The code identifies a specific bank in an international transaction, to make sure the destination of payment is correct.

An IBAN code identifies the country of the financial account, the account holder's bank, and the account number. The code allows for easier and faster processing of cross-border payments.

Withdrawals

Is there a withdrawal limit?

No. You can withdraw any amount you would like.

Is there a withdrawal fee?

There is no withdrawal fee for active traders.

However, if there was little to no activity in the trading account before the withdrawal request, the account would be charged a fee of 50 EUR (or an equivalent amount in the currency of your trading account).

How long does it take to process a withdrawal?

Every withdrawal process requires performing regulatory obligations in order to prevent fraud. Depending on bank or credit card company that process the payment, it might take up to seven business days.

How will I receive the money?

Withdrawals will be transferred via the initially chosen deposit method.

Why haven't I received my withdrawal yet?

Please note that it might take up to seven business days for the bank to process the transaction. If this period has passed and you still haven't received your funds, or your request is marked "pending", we would love to take care of that for you. Just let us know at [email protected].

Logging In

How can I log into my account?

Go to ROInvest.com, click the "Sign in" button, and enter your email and password. Click "Login" to open the client area, where you can manage your account.

I couldn't log into my account. What can be the problem?

If you fail to log into your account, first check that the credentials you entered are correct. Make sure that the Caps Lock is off, and the input language is set correctly). You can always view your credentials in the "Account activation" email you received upon registration.

How can I reactivate my account?

If it was your decision to close the account, please contact us at [email protected] to reactivate it.

If you can't log into your account because it hasn't been verified yet, please send us the missing documents required to complete the account verification process.

I forgot my password. What do I do?

The "Account activation" email you have received upon registration contains all of your credentials. If you can't find this e-mail, click the "Forgot password?" button to recover your password. If you're still having issues, please contact us at [email protected] .

Trading

How do I start trading?

Using your verified account on one of our platforms (PC, Web, or Mobile), place an order on a specific asset to open a trade. Check the market times to make sure the market for your required asset is open.

What markets can I trade on?

You can trade CFDs on Forex, cryptocurrencies, stocks, indices, and commodities.

Where can I find my trading history?

All previous trades can be accessed through the "Client area"-> "Activity"-> "Closed trades".

What margin do I need to open a trade?

Click the "Information" button near the name of an asset to find out the exact margin.

I want to open a trade dispute. How can I do that?

We will be happy to assist you with any trade dispute. To open such dispute, send us an email at [email protected] with the relevant trade number and the reason for the dispute.

How can I change my leverage rate?

We consider various factors when determining the leverage rate for each account. If you still feel your leverage should be changed, please ask either your account manager or our support team at [email protected] to assist you in the procedure.
